The first single "Heroes of Our Time", one of the metal anthems from the upcoming album Ultra Beatdown, just premiered on MySpace yesterday and is already being raved about by Myspacers all over the world! The video is featured on the music page and the band is also on the "Myspace Secret Shows" page as they brought their power metal thunder to a secret show at El Corazon in Seattle, WA last week.

DRAGONFORCE PREPARES THE WORLD FOR AN ULTRA BEATDOWN

Attention heavy metal warriors and guitar heroes across the land. DragonForce are pleased to announce Ultra Beatdown as the title of their forthcoming new album for Roadrunner Records, due in stores on August 25.

Ultra Beatdown is an epic, sweeping, grand collection of infectious guitar anthems that'll inspire all who listen to either pump their fists in the air or pick up a guitar, whether it be real or virtual. DragonForce's single from 2006's Inhuman Rampage, "Through The Fire and Flames," exploded on the public beyond the metal world thanks to its appearance on the massively popular guitar simulator game. DRAGONFORCE ANNOUNCE UK AND IRELAND TOUR 2008

The mighty DRAGONFORCE are set for a UK and Ireland tour this September. The tour will follow the release of their as-yet-untitled new album, which is pencilled to hit stores on 25th August 2008.

The band are currently hard at work completing the new album, before heading State side in early July for the start of the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour. The package kicks off in early July and is headlined by Slipknot and Disturbed, with DRAGONFORCE bagging a main stage slot right before them. Meanwhile, DRAGONFORCE’s last album ‘Inhuman Rampage’, is still romping out of stores on both sides of the pond, thanks in part to the inclusion of lead track, ‘Through the Fire and Flames’ as the ‘most difficult' on the top-selling 'Guitar Hero III: Legends' of Rock video game.

Elsewhere in DragonForce news, guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman recently launched their new signature guitars at the NAMM show in Los Angeles. You can check out the details over at www.ibanez.com. Also look out for an exclusive interview with Sam real soon.

TOUR TO KICK OFF JULY 9 IN SEATTLE

BURBANK, CA (January 31, 2008) – In what’s sure to be the hottest concert ticket of the summer, multi-platinum rock acts SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED will lead the first-ever ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM FESTIVAL, a riotous road show packed with some of hard music’s most influential artists and a plethora of the genre’s most exciting young voices. The tour is set to kick off July 9th at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between early July and late August (a full itinerary will be announced in the coming weeks).

Joining Slipknot and Disturbed on the main stage will be DRAGONFORCE and MASTODON. In addition, the tour will have two second stages: one sponsored by JÄGERMEISTER and featuring SEVENDUST, AIRBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, 36 CRAZY FISTS and the JÄGERMEISTER Battle of The Bands Winner. An additional second stage will feature MACHINEHEAD, BLACK TIDE, SUICIDE SILENCE, THE RED CHORD and WALLS OF JERICHO.

“This summer we are truly bringing Mayhem,” says Corey Taylor from SLIPKNOT, who will close each show. “SLIPKNOT is excited to be a part of it, and to be able to bring the new chapter of our history to the masses.
